Kaley Cuoco and her husband, Tom Pelphrey, have welcomed their first child together, a baby girl. The Big Bang Theory star announced the news on Instagram on Saturday, April 1, sharing a photo of herself cradling her newborn daughter.
“Introducing, Matilda Carmine Richie Pelphrey,” Cuoco wrote. “The new light of our lives! We are overjoyed and grateful for this little miracle.”
Cuoco, 37, and Pelphrey, 40, have been dating since 2021. They announced they were expecting their first child in October 2022.
Cuoco is best known for her role as Penny on the CBS sitcom The Big Bang Theory, which ran for 12 seasons from 2007 to 2019. She has also starred in the films The Wedding Ringer, The Penthouse, and Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey.
Pelphrey is best known for his roles on the FX series Ozark and the HBO series Banshee. He has also appeared in the films The Irishman and The Kitchen.

In addition to the photo of her daughter, Cuoco also shared a photo of herself and Pelphrey holding hands in the hospital. “We are so grateful to our doctors and nurses who helped us bring this little angel into the world,” she wrote. “We couldn’t have done it without you.”
Cuoco also thanked her fans for their support. “Thank you to all of our friends and family for your love and support,” she wrote. “We are so excited to start this new chapter in our lives together.”
Cuoco and Pelphrey first met in 2021 while filming the HBO Max series The Flight Attendant. They began dating shortly after.
In October 2022, Cuoco announced that she was pregnant with her first child. She shared the news on Instagram with a photo of herself cradling her baby bump.
“We are so excited to announce that we are expecting a baby!” she wrote. “We can’t wait to meet this little one and begin our family together.”
