Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn have reportedly split up after six years together. The couple, who have always been very private about their relationship, was first rumored to be dating in 2016. They made their red carpet debut as a couple at the Met Gala in 2017.
According to multiple reports, the couple split up a few weeks ago. A source told People magazine that the split was “amicable” and that the two “just grew apart.” Another source told Entertainment Tonight that the split was “not dramatic” and that the relationship had “just run its course.”
Swift and Alwyn have not yet commented on the split.
The couple’s breakup comes as a surprise to many fans, as they had always seemed very happy together. They were rarely seen without each other and often spoke highly of each other in interviews.
In an interview with The Guardian in 2019, Alwyn said of Swift: “She’s an incredible person to be around. She’s one of the most intelligent people I know. She’s very funny. She’s very kind. She’s very generous.”
Swift has also spoken highly of Alwyn in interviews. In an interview with Elle magazine in 2018, she said: “He’s one of the kindest, sweetest people I’ve ever met. He’s incredibly talented. He’s funny. He’s caring. He’s just everything I could ever want in a partner.”
It is unclear what led to the split between Swift and Alwyn. However, it is possible that their busy schedules may have played a role. Swift is currently in the middle of her “Eras” tour, while Alwyn is promoting “Conversations with Friends.”
It is also possible that the couple simply grew apart. After six years together, it is possible that they realized that they were not meant to be together.
Whatever the reason for the split, it is clear that Swift and Alwyn had a special relationship. They were two of the most popular celebrities in the world, and they managed to keep their relationship private for six years. It is a testament to their love and respect for each other.
